Our story. The Roughneck Mini Hoop was designed by Kevin Johnson a retailer and installer of residential basketball goals for over 20 years.

The Roughneck Mini has an NBA inspired heavy duty steel spring loaded rim.The backboard is 24"x14" 3/8th's thick polycarbonate unbreakable backboard. Polycarbonate is 250 times stronger than glass and 30 times stronger that acrylic.
"I have been installing home basketball goals for over 25 years. In the past 15-20 years adjustable goals have become extremely popular almost the standard nowadays. I noticed that there is a need for an even more adjustable hoop for the younger kids who aren't big enough to use the 7 foot rim. So I came up with the Little Roughneck Small Basketball Hoop. I designed this piece of equipment to remove easily from the pole when the larger basket is in use. It can also be locked with a key to prevent theft or from the little ones trying to lower it etc. This hoop comes with a Polycarbonate backboard that is 30 times stronger than acrylic. It mounts to any 3 1/2" round pole or any 4,5,6 inch square pole. It also comes with a money back guaranty. It easily bolts on with very little assembly required.
